About Us

CACOMI is a forum and cooperative of Congolese organizations which have committed to working together to meet the common goals of relief assistance and development in the DR Congo. 

By pooling ideas and expertise, members are able to conduct integrated coordinated projects that combine organizational strengths. Further, access and logistical issues which tend to cause major problems for organizations working in DRC, are greatly alleviated via a sharing of on-the-ground resources.

CACOMI member organizations elect a governing body which serves for a term of 2 years. Annual general assembly meetings are augmented by periodic commission meetings and regular contact and discussion sessions between members. Cooperative planning and implementation of projects are facilitated by our active on-line discussion forum, readily accessed by all members.

Commissions currently operate in five fields of expertise: agriculture, health, education, economy, and leadership and reconciliation. Commissions conduct in-the-field research, provide recommendations, and review integrated project proposals.
